Religion and Its Role In Contemporary Love Poetry

Throughout the course of history, religion has had an important role in contemporary love poetry. This is true from a global perspective, as well. In the current era of contemporary love poetry, this phenomenon continues to be evident.

Religion inspires contemporary love poets to write contemporary love poetry in each era. Contemporary love poetry often reinforces the religious beliefs of its contemporary love poets, critics and readers alike, although some will invariably attempt to refute it. It is the literary experience of the contemporary love poet and cannot be refuted.

Religion is basically subjective and the objectivity of others reflects their own personal subjective observations and interpretations or misinterpretations of contemporary love poetry, not necessarily those of the original contemporary love poet. Their perception of the love poet may be colored or discolored by their interpretation or misinterpretation of his or her contemporary love poetry.

Religion in contemporary love poetry often establishes an ideal for its era or even later eras. The contemporary love poet may be or become a powerful religious leader in his or her era, or in later eras.

Religion is invariably rooted or grounded in love, focusing on whoever or whatever the contemporary love poet loves. It may be nature, a deity of a particular era or an understanding of the divine.

Religion plays an important role in education in conjunction with contemporary love poetry. This is also true of every era, as true educators seek to find religious values rooted in love and truth.

Religious experience often results in the writing of contemporary love poetry in every era, as one way to record or document it for the sake of history. There is a remarkable similarity between the religious experiences documented in each era by contemporary love poets.

The collective envelope of all religious experience documented throughout the course of history in contemporary love poetry would be humongous. It would also depict the unity and diversity of mankind, even though some of the religious experience appears to be negative.

Religious leaders use contemporary love poetry around the globe in every era for the purpose of enhancing worship. It in turn inspires more contemporary love poetry by touching, changing and inspiring the lives of new contemporary love poets everywhere.

Other leaders on every level of community, country and world government focus on values introduced in contemporary love poetry of a religious nature. In turn, they inspire more new contemporary love poets to write contemporary love poetry. It is as if the seed of love planted cannot skip any generations in time.

The role of religion in contemporary love poetry is irrefutable.
